HENRY's - High Earning Not Rich Yet- Are you on track?

I have some clients who come to me with the primary concern / complaint that they make WAY too much money and have NOTHING to show for it! Typically this happens after some sort of event that triggers a financial overview and at this point where they realize that they are not where they think they should be - in regards to savings, investments and net worth. When coaching couples like this I dive into counsel mode and emphasize not to be too hard on themselves. Focusing on taking it one step at a time while reassuring them they have time to grow their wealth provided that we can instill some W=A x D x P x T concepts in them. Wealth = Assets x Discipline x Process x Time (squared). Often times they need coaching and guidance to understand the entire financial picture - as I create a personalized Financial Playbook for them and help create a successful process to direct their high income towards growing their wealth. Creating a solid look into your team's 'Ground Game' as I call it in my Playbook- is examining cashflow. I call it the Ground Game (when a team runs the football) in that it is not sexy. It is hard work and there is a lot of forces surrounding the concepts of spending- so it's like the running game in football where linemen are pushing, pulling and tugging on one another. Dirty, sweaty and a lot of energy and mass to help move a football down the field. However once the data is analyzed it allows for great opportunities for moving things forward (creating wealth) by improving net worth through paying down debt and saving / investing. It is in the trenches of the Ground Game that establishes better field position for your team to succeed in reaching your goals. Are You On Track?
